Can a Lithium Battery Run My RV Air Conditioner?
Yes, with enough battery and an inverter big enough to start it, but it takes a lot of power. A rooftop air conditioner often draws 1,000W to 1,800W while it runs, so one 12V 100Ah battery would run it for roughly an hour. RVers who want air conditioning off the grid usually build a larger battery bank, add solar, or run the generator for the hottest hours. Call our Support Team at 855-MAX-LITH and we’ll help you size it.
Can I Run a Microwave, Coffee Maker or Hair Dryer Off My Batteries?
Yes, through an inverter, for short runs. These appliances pull 1,000W or more, so they empty a battery quickly, but a few minutes of use is easy. One 12V 100Ah Sport Series battery handles 100A of continuous current and up to 300A for five seconds. For bigger loads, connect two or more batteries in parallel.
Can Lithium Help With Generator Quiet Hours?
Yes. Your batteries run lights, fans, the furnace blower and the fridge’s controls silently all night, so the generator can stay off through quiet hours. When you do run it, lithium takes a charge quickly, so runs can be shorter. Add solar and some campers skip the generator altogether.
How Long Until a Lithium Battery Needs Replacing?
Millertech LiFePO4 is rated for more than 3,000 cycles and a calendar life of at least 10 years. The Sport Series warranty covers the same 10 years.
How Long Will a 100Ah Lithium Battery Last in My RV?
Start with the energy it holds. Our 12V 100Ah Sport Series battery (12100G24) is a 12.8V battery, so it stores about 1,280 watt-hours (Wh), and you can use nearly all of it. Divide that by the watts you’re running to get hours. For example, 50W of lights, fans and a water pump running together would take about 25 hours to empty it. Running through an inverter costs some extra power, so plan a little short of the math.
How Long Will The Millertech Max 8.0 Auxiliary Battery Run My Trail Camera?
Six months plus on a single charge, depending on your camera model and how you use it. Cellular cameras, video, burst mode and night shots with infrared all use more power, so a busy camera will need a charge sooner than a camera taking single daytime photos. The Max 8.0 is rated for up to 30,000 photos.
How Many Times Can I Recharge The Millertech Max 8.0 and 4.0 Auxiliary Battery?
More than 2,000 times. Recharge it every few months for your trail camera and it’ll be around for a lot of hunting seasons. It has a Millertech 5 year No Hassle warranty!
How Many Years Will a Lithium RV Battery Last?
About 10 years, and more than 3,000 charge cycles. A lead-acid battery usually lasts one to two years. That’s why every Sport Series battery carries a 10-year warranty.
How Much Power Do I Need for Two Big Graphs Plus Forward-Facing Sonar?
The numbers add up quickly:
• A 12-inch graph pulls about 2–3A.
• Forward-facing sonar adds 3–5A.
• With lighting and device charging, a full setup typically runs 6–8A.
Millertech’s 12V 135Ah and 190Ah Dual Purpose batteries are rated to run multiple power-hungry graphs for 8+ hours.
Will Forward-Facing Sonar Drain My Battery Faster?
It adds load. A forward-facing sonar unit typically draws about 3–5A, depending on brightness and settings.
Will My Battery Run the Furnace Overnight?
Your furnace burns propane, but its blower fan and controls run on your battery, and on cold nights that fan runs a lot. A lithium battery delivers steady power all night and doesn’t sag as it drains the way lead-acid does. Watch your remaining charge in the Millertech app so you know where you stand by morning.
Will My Trolling Motor Have Full Power All Day?
Yes. LiFePO4 has a very flat discharge curve, so voltage stays steady instead of sagging the way lead-acid does. Your motor pulls as hard at 3 p.m. as it did at sunrise. In Greg Hackney’s words: “I can just stand on my trolling motor ALL DAY LONG — it can be cold, hot, it doesn’t make any difference.”
