Batteries

We’ll provide a prepaid UPS shipping label for your return. Simply box up the battery, attach the label, and drop it off at a UPS location.

Yes, you can discharge the battery down to 0%. When it reaches 0%, it will enter low voltage protection (sleep mode). To recharge, simply connect a lithium-approved charger, which will wake up the battery and begin charging it again.

No, when you have three 12V batteries in series, they must be charged individually with a 12V charger. Attempting to charge the entire 44.1V series configuration with a single 44.1V charger is not recommended. Each battery needs to be charged separately.

The maximum number of batteries that can be connected is four, whether in a series or parallel configuration.

Yes, we recommend charging the battery right away when you receive it. Due to shipping restrictions, batteries are not shipped fully charged, so an initial charge is necessary.

Yes, the batteries can be charged using solar panels. Please make sure your charge controller is compatible with lithium.

Yes, you can jump start a lithium battery using an AGM or lead battery, as long as the jump starting battery has a higher voltage than the lithium battery you’re trying to start.

Yes, you can jump start a lithium battery. Use either another battery that is charged at least 50% or an approved lithium jump starter pack. We recommend jump pack for reliability.

The batteries are very water resistant, with an estimated IP67 rating. This means they can handle rain, spray, and short-term exposure to water, like when washing a boat, but they are not fully waterproof. As long as they aren’t submerged or continuously sprayed for long periods, they should be fine.

Keep the battery plugged into the charger whenever it’s not in use. For long-term storage (1 month or more), fully charge the battery, remove all loads, and store it with nothing connected. Following these steps will help maximize the lifespan of your lithium deep cycle battery.

To wake up a lithium battery in protection mode, use a lithium charger, which is specifically designed to bring the battery out of low voltage protection/sleep mode. If the lithium charger doesn’t work, you can try “jumping” the battery by connecting it to a dedicated jump pack or another battery. Using equipment designed for lithium batteries is the most effective and recommended way to reactivate a battery in protection mode.

No, the lithium deep cycle battery has built-in overcharge protection, and the MillerTech chargers also have a cut-off voltage to prevent overcharging. Even if the charger continues charging for any reason, the battery has its own protection mechanisms. These safeguards ensure overcharging should not be an issue.

For long-term storage, fully charge the battery, remove all loads or connections, and store it with nothing attached. This preparation helps maximize the battery’s lifespan during extended storage periods, such as over the winter.
