What Is the Millertech Slide-On USB Hub for the Max 4.0 and Max 8.0?

It’s an add-on that slides onto your auxiliary battery and turns it into a USB power station. If it charges from a USB cord, you can power it from your Millertech battery. There’s one hub for each size, sold separately:

What Kind of Battery Is Inside the Millertech Auxiliary Batteries?

A lightweight, rechargeable lithium battery built to handle 2,000+ recharges. It comes with a Millertech 5 year No Hassle warranty!

What Size Inverter Do I Need for My RV?

Add up the watts of everything you’d run at the same time, then choose an inverter rated above that total with room to spare for appliances that surge when they start. Use a pure sine wave inverter for electronics. Millertech carries Edison pure sine wave inverter/chargers with a built-in solar charge controller for 24V and 48V systems.

What’s the Difference Between LiFePO4 and Other Lithium Batteries?

Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) is widely recognized as one of the most stable lithium chemistries. Lithium battery fires usually come from poorly designed, unregulated cells. Millertech uses Grade A prismatic cells built to its own specifications. LiFePO4 also has no lead or acid and gives off no gas while charging.

Which One Should I Buy?

Pick the Max 8.0 if you want the longest time between trips to the tree, or you plan to charge several people’s phones and a laptop at camp. Pick the Max 4.0 if you’re running one camera, want something smaller in your pack, or you’ll only have a few devices to keep charged. Not sure? Call our Support Team at 855-MAX-LITH and tell us how you’ll use it.

Why Does My RV Battery Die in Storage When Nothing Is On?

Something is always on. Propane and carbon monoxide detectors, stereo memory and control boards draw a little power around the clock, and over weeks that adds up. Before storage, charge the battery fully, then flip the battery disconnect or remove the cables. A Millertech lithium battery loses only about 1% to 3% of its charge per month on its own, so once it’s disconnected it’ll be ready in spring.

Will My Battery Run the Furnace Overnight?

Your furnace burns propane, but its blower fan and controls run on your battery, and on cold nights that fan runs a lot. A lithium battery delivers steady power all night and doesn’t sag as it drains the way lead-acid does. Watch your remaining charge in the Millertech app so you know where you stand by morning.

Will My Trolling Motor Have Full Power All Day?

Yes. LiFePO4 has a very flat discharge curve, so voltage stays steady instead of sagging the way lead-acid does. Your motor pulls as hard at 3 p.m. as it did at sunrise. In Greg Hackney’s words: “I can just stand on my trolling motor ALL DAY LONG — it can be cold, hot, it doesn’t make any difference.”
