Can Lithium Help With Generator Quiet Hours?

Yes. Your batteries run lights, fans, the furnace blower and the fridge’s controls silently all night, so the generator can stay off through quiet hours. When you do run it, lithium takes a charge quickly, so runs can be shorter. Add solar and some campers skip the generator altogether.

Can Lithium Run My Slide-Outs, Leveling Jacks and Awning?

Yes, with the right battery. To power 12V hydraulics, use a Millertech Dual Purpose battery. It will run your leveling jacks, awning and slide-outs.

Can Millertech Troubleshoot My Battery Remotely?

Yes, for Sport Series batteries. With your permission, Millertech can log into your battery through the app and fix some problems remotely.

Can my lithium battery be overcharged?

No, the lithium deep cycle battery has built-in overcharge protection, and the MillerTech chargers also have a cut-off voltage to prevent overcharging. Even if the charger continues charging for any reason, the battery has its own protection mechanisms. These safeguards ensure overcharging should not be an issue.

Can One Millertech Auxiliary Battery Run Two Trail Cameras?

Yes, with the Two-Way Splitter (Item #1117-SP). Two cameras share the same battery, so expect the run time per charge to drop.

Dakota Lithium Went Out of Business. What Happens to My Warranty?

After Dakota Lithium’s 2026 ownership change, the new owner didn’t take on the earlier warranty obligations. Millertech can replace your Dakota batteries, and its team will help you find the right match for your boat. Every Sport Series battery comes with a 10-year, no-questions-asked warranty.

Do I Need a New Charger for Lithium Batteries?

Yes, use a lithium-compatible charger. Lead-acid and AGM chargers may charge a lithium battery, but they usually stop short of a full charge. The wrong charger is the most likely way to cause a problem.

Do I Need a Separate Battery for My Electronics?

It’s the cleanest way to run serious electronics. Millertech’s Electronics batteries are built to give “consistently clearer images and stronger signals” on your graphs all day. They also keep electronics off your trolling motor and cranking batteries. If you’d rather run one battery, the Dual Purpose line cranks your engine and runs graphs and accessories too.

Do I Need to Change Anything on My Boat to Switch?

Two things to check:

  • Charger: use one built for lithium. An old lead-acid or AGM charger could overcharge a lithium battery, or it may not have enough voltage to charge it fully.
  • Terminals: use ring terminals, not clamps.

For the battery your outboard charges, choose a Millertech Dual Purpose battery. It's built to work with your outboard's alternator. If you're not sure about your setup, call our Support Team at 855-MAX-LITH.

Do Lithium Batteries Need Any Maintenance?

Almost none: there’s no watering. Three habits prevent most problems:
• Keep the battery out of standing water.
• Use a lithium charger.
• Keep connections tight: ring terminals, torqued to 10 ft-lb.

Do you offer bulk or volume discounts?

We offer a 10% discount on package deals listed on our website. For additional bulk or volume discounts, you would need a wholesale account with us. Retail customers without a wholesale account do not qualify for extra volume discounts beyond the 10% package deal discount.

Does a Heated Battery Drain Itself to Stay Warm?

No. The heater turns on only when a charger is connected and the battery is below 32°F. It warms the cells, then charging starts.
